The ultimate single-payer plans are VA hospitals.
No patient choice, incompetent political appointments, and lethal patient wait times.
How wonderful.
Privately run, tax-advantaged low-cost clinics for the poor would have been a much better choice.
Emergency rooms could quit being the provider of last resort for the poor.
Better care at a tiny fraction of the cost.
ACA was not some brilliant political compromise.
It is a command and control solution to an economic problem.
We all know how well centrally planned economies provide material success for their subjects.
