Well I know you refuse to believe numbers you don't like...but....
. Just google "which countries are the most tolerant" and see if the USA pops up in the top 10 anywhere - and the read a bunch of the things you find in the links and you will find all the statistics you need. I'm not going to research it for you as I've already done my research - you can do your own. You can also find out by talking to people like Walter who has spent quite a bit of time in the USA and actually lives outside the USA as their personal experiences in matters like this will be better than mine.
