>>I don't believe that the aristocrat class in Washington has anything to do with a single payer health system :)

They're the reason you're the only first world country without one. People would be appalled if policing or fire services were funded/provided on the same basis as healthcare even post-ACA.

>>I think that someone recently was talking about draining the swamp LOL! Like I said, Trump was not my first choice... I, unlike many other people, am willing to give him a chance.

Well, everybody is going to have to give him a chance because protesting and rioting won't magically see him off. Unlike protesting against racism or sexism where you can provoke conscience and achieve progress, there's actually no wrongdoing in his election as president. He won fair and square and barring revolution now or impeachment later, you can't un-ring the bell.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
