I think you'll be fine on the memory front as long as there isn't a whole bunch of other stuff running on the machine. VFP works fine in low memory environments. In fact even when I run Web Connection server apps for days max memory usage tends to be in the 60 meg range which is nothing given a 2 gig address space. Windows obviously takes up a lot of space, but if you keep to just running what you need on WIndows 2 gig should be enough.
I didn't think they sell 2 gig machines anymore though - most entry level machines come at least with 4. Given how cheap memory is these days it doesn't make sense to skimp on memory.
