Public schools are socialism (by some people's definition)

I am sure there are. However, this is not socialism by my definition.

The electrification of rural America was socialism by that kind of definition, but there aren't very many who think it was wrong.

Paying for college for veterans was socialism, too, by that kind of definition.

Paying for college for veterans was one way of paying them back for their service to this country - hardly socialism.
