The priviliged classes - primarily large corporations- have done a good job of making working people think that way.
The thought of a unified underclass, as we almost had when unions were ascendant here, terrifies them.

Yes, there are abuses and inefficiencies in unions and government and the swamp needs periodic draining.

However, if we look at the dramatic increase in wealth and income inequality in this country since Reagan started the anti-government, anti-union purge here, we see what happens when wealth prevails and working people are deserted by both parties.

Trump is just a hiccup.
The few can't dominate the many over long periods.
