AFAIK, the government did not shut down and Obama continued to collect his $400,000 year salary while depriving the people (the taxpayers) who pay his salary from enjoying our public treasures. Way to go! His insistence of having it "My way or the highway" was a big influence on the so-called shutdown.

The day after Obama was elected Mitch McConnell - your esteemed leader- said that his first priority was to block anything Obama wanted to do.
That's before Obama had had a chance to take office much less propose anything.

Then, you threw Ted Cruz into that mix!

Let's get real here.
The last congress set new lows for despicability.
