>I realize that discussions in the chatter section can get heated - especially when it comes to politics, but IMHO, anyone whose delicate sensibilities cannot handle the content should not subscribe to the chatter forum. Why punish the rest of us who might enjoy a spirited exchange of diversified ideas? For those of us that work remotely (and alone) the chatter section is our proverbial "Water cooler"

Walter Meester and Nicholas Mason but I am a big girl. I can either decide to ignore them (which I do most of the time) or respond in kind. Why not take a poll and see how many member what to have the chatter section abolished?

I do understand you're point Marcia - one can always simply not subscribe to the chatter section or just not read certain posts - but it's supposed to be a tech forum - why turn it into a forum of chatter when there is facebook for that type of thing? The website owner can do whatever they want with it so no reason to take a vote on it - it's not up to us, it's up to the owner of the site.
