I need to use the GetLineFromChar method of the RichText control to
determine how many lines are in the text box. I pass the position of
the last character, and sometimes it returns an empty string, a NULL, or sometimes an outrageous number such as 30500 or -24772. Does anyone know what is going on?

As an alternative, is there anyway to determine the length of the text
in inches? I thought I could use the FontMetric function to return the height in pixels and multiply by the number of lines in the textbox, then divide by the number of pixels in an inch for the current resolution.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
