What happened was that in Windows XP SYS(1037) showed the dialog to change the page Settings and there was also a button on the dialog to change the printer.
Since Windows 7 SYS(1037) does not show the button to change the printer anymore. So with GetPrinter() you can change the printer and with sys(1037) you can change the settings but not anymore both at the same time.

The mscomdlg.commondialog ShowPrinter() function shows a print dialog with a button on it to Print whatever is selected. This is confusing for the user because there is nothing to print.
