Thanks Jousfi, but the code on the MS doesn't apply: I know what contents is by using the grid.activerow property, (this.tooltiptext="Line No. "+alltrim(str(this.activerow))).
I don't have room for another column, and the wait window looks kinda cheesy. FYI, the recno() won't work because if the user deletes/adds records, they'll get incorrect info.
