If those attacking Trump are right and there never is another tragedy with somebody screaming "Allahu Akbar" as they shoot up a bar then Trump can still claim it's all about safety and attribute that to his orders. Otherwise you know how it will go... Trump will blame those who opposed his efforts to secure the border, casting them as a swamp that needs to be drained before America can be great again. IOW this whole crisis with ridiculously overblown catastrophization by some in the MSM, is a win-win for him AFAICS.

If they had any sense they'd know how fragile their privilege really is, relying on punters overpaying for entertainent that can be downloaded for free if you're inclined. Turn downloading for free into a political statement of opposition and protest, sort of like going on a march except no violence and you get to "make a difference" from the privacy of your bedroom, and lets see how it goes.

As a general observation: Democrats like Brown in CA need to be careful, since their own attitude to refugees after the fall of Vietnam is far worse than the grounds on which they demonize Trump today. This week high profile democrats are likely to have some of their own sentiments about Vietnamese refugees thrown back at them- if not by the MSM, then by new media filling the vacuum for the 4th Estate of democracy. I'm astonished to learn that high profile others like Biden, Holtzman and “peace candidate” for President George McGovern also were part of an anti-refugee campaign to block peaceful Buddhist Vietnamese who had every reason to fear vengeance when the Communists swarmed into South Vietnam, and whose strong work ethic was quoted as a reason to deny entry permanently into the US. You could not make this stuff up.
