On UT, if there are no new messages since last logon or refresh, and I click on the Messages link, both the treeview and message area go blank (as expected)
On Chatter4U, that action brings up messages (not sure if it's all or just some) from about 2016.12.23.
Also, I find the display of total # of thread messages (currently 212152) next to the "Messages" link distracting, I'd prefer if that didn't show.
