Thanks for the reply. No, no quotes, either there or on the select. I do have a THISFORM.Refresh() on the Page1.Activate(), but anything else is on the down side of the form. (such as Valid() and Destroy(), including the SQL cursor)

The table Pparent was to avoid the PARENT keyword. I have tried using a different alias and get the same result. A puzzler to me, for sure.

P.S.: Also thanks for your work here on the UT. I have been a JB disciple since Squaw Peak '95, and scoured my EffTechAppDev (that's coded ;) )for clues before I posted here.
