>Why would you ask something so ridiculous as do you think violence is peaceful?
>
>I asked because you have a history of calling riots (where people set things on fire and smashed store windows, etc.) peaceful protests. I was just checking to see if you felt the same way about these protests at the 2 universities. So I assume that you classify these protests as riots since you haven't denied it yet.

I have never called a riot a peaceful protest. I have said that I see WHY they turn violent - but I have never in my life called a riot a peaceful protest.
When people are setting fires and looting - that is a riot, not a peaceful protest.
When the police assault people who are doing nothing other than peacefully protesting - that too is a riot (a police riot) so they can be culpable as well.

If you agree with me on this, then what do you think I would call these current events at the 2 universities you're talking about? I would think its obvious enough that you wouldn't need to ask me.
