I do not recall a problem with radical Buddhists etc throughout the world that need to be convinced to become more moderate and not trample on human rights.

Look - one thing we do need is intelligence right? If there is a Mosque in the USA that is attempting to radicalize followers or is going bad - who exactly is going to provide us with this information? It would be other Muslims - ya know assuming we haven't booted them out of the country (or not let them in to begin with) or pissed them off so bad with racist rhetoric from say - I dunno - a president for example - that they are unwilling to help us. Thus we specifically need Muslims yes ????
