Looks like it actually works… I have a distributed exe running this code successfully:

	append procedures from (m.cFile) overwrite
	erase (m.cFile)
	close tables
	compile database (Dbc())

The fox team has probably forgotten to remove the feature.
Can anyone confirm?

Update: actually the exe d/l this program from a web server, compiles and executes.
in this case, .exe runs append procedures in a separate .prg

could be a valid workaround for Fabio.
