As I've stated before - it's my belief that the American voter is stupid. (I'd say we have sufficient proof of this now). Considering how few Americans can even name the 3 branches of government and how little most Americans know about government in general I think the only way to fix such problems is education. With Trump's brilliant pick for Secretary of Education my hopes for that are diminishing quickly. On the bright side one must point out that most people actually didn't vote for Trump - last I heard I think it was close to 3 million fewer votes than HRC.
