Hi guys,

I was semi-retired from computer programming, now one of my clients wants me to create a simple web page so his customer can see his inventory on a web page, so basically 2 simple web pages, one for them to log-in and another to show the inventory, the problem is that I have 0 web experience. The main app I built with VFP 9 and SQL Server.

The SQL Database (SQL Server 2012) is in a local area network and I really don't want to expose it to the internet, just seems like a security issue, so I was thinking I can use replication so I can have a SQL database in another box on the network with only read rights and expose that sql server to the internet, is this a good strategy? If so how do you exactly expose the SQL Server to the internet? I know I have to have an ISP, I wish I could replicate to a sql database there but I don't know if this is possible, if this is not possible is it possible to expose a sql server inside the local area network?

The company has a wordpress website, I'm going to ask them to create a link to my login web page.

Thank you in advance!
