Quick question,

I have read in the past that when using ODBC to SQL Server, the character string parameter is limited to 255. I am just looking for confirmation of this. If there are any alternatives, I would appreciate any insight...

If the limit is 255, would it then be possible to create a stored procedure on the back-end via odbc and pass a series of strings to build the procedure and then execute it for the proper results?

Our application will have many SQL statements that can get to be extremely long and may pose as a heavy problem...
