>>Perhaps you're not looking at it close enough. Does 'not my president' just mean that you don't support his ideals or does it mean you dont think his presidency is legitimate?

I'm presuming that words mean what they say. If I check out the #notmypresident tag, the first thing I read is "We refuse to recognize Donald Trump as the President of the United States, and refuse to take orders from a government that puts bigots into power. "

Well actually it's a democratic election that puts governments and presidents into power. To my literal mind, there's no way to get around the meaning of these words. As an aside, if people want to protest the *process* that put him in power, they ought to be accurate about it and the signs should say "not my electoral college." Similarly, if people no longer want the POTUS to have power granted him by Congress to decide who may or may not enter the country- then they ought to lobby congress. That's how the US republic is meant to work, not people refusing to take orders from a government that refuses to recognize the importance of slavery. Oh, whoops- I'm getting my timeline mixed up again. ;-)

>>Now of course Trump is somewhat clueless to how government works and doesn't seem to comprehend that he is not a king or a dictator and he has already been shut down by the judicial branch over his stupid Muslim ban.

Victor, apart from the fact that "muslim ban" is fake news: Trump is not the first president to have an immigration order challenged or to issue an unpopular order. My understanding is that if POTUS issues an immigration order on national security grounds, lower courts may delay it but the Supreme Court *always* has acknowledged that the POTUS has this power granted him by congress, and that's it. The problem this time, is that the issue can't be "parked" as it grinds through the court: Trump's people are going ahead with the safety review they thought might take 60 days and it'll be done long before the Supreme Court says its thing. Meanwhile if there are grounds for improved vetting in real life- something that the illegal state department leakers seem to be silent about- then the main effect of all this is a window of opportunity for bad people to get into the US ASAP.

>>or tries to appoint white supremacist as Attorney General, or someone with no experience that bought their way into the job as Secretary of Education, or appoint the guy who wants to eliminate the department of energy to head it, or attempt an illegal action like banning Muslims from entering the USA, or ....or good God it's only 3 weeks into this the list is already too long for me to list here.

Still calling Bannon a White Supremecist? Still claiming a Muslim ban? Claim that deVos bought her job? From whom? How do you know?

My observation would be that if every little thing is blown up into a hysterical crisis - it's as if we're in a room with people crying "wolf!" but it usually turns out to be a fake wolf. After a while, crying wolf is just background noise that means nowt. We're getting to that place quickly.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
