Can't speak for Thomas, but I started paying into Social Security in 1951 and still haven't stopped.

I think that our stories are very similar although I started paying social security a little later because I am a little younger that you - I started paying in 1969 and am still paying today. Perhaps JR has accepted a lot of help from the public purse and that is why he thinks that all of our senior citizens are as needy as he is.
