What I mentioned originally might be able to do it. That would assume you handle them one by one, meaning you know you would have capital A accented into which you would like to convert to capital A without accent:

UPDATE MyTable SET MyField=CHRTRAN(MyField,"ÀÁÂÃÄÅÇÈÉÊËÌÍÎÏÐÑÒÓÔÕÖÙÚÛÜÝàáâãäåçèéêëìíîïðñòóôõöùúûüýÿ","AAAAAACEEEEIIIIDNOOOOOUUUUYaaaaaaceeeeiiiidnooooouuuuyy")
