If it is a receipt printer like the Epson TM-Series you should print by using the "???"-command and send ESC-Command (documented by Epson) to send commands to change font-properties.
If it is a label-printer like the zebra-printer you can load a predefined label into the printer
and load it for printing with the data needed.
