I see a link to media coverage of the sordid history of desecration, in the same article that you referenced. So, obviously there was media coverage, but perhaps nobody to call it an "uproar"? Certainly, you'd see the fallacy in the sort of claims accusing someone of NOT doing something, and how that is supposed to shape a reality in the mind of the beholder. How does this sound: "There always has been media coverage and condemnation of the sordid history of desecration, however Obama has NOT created an uproar. And while he's been doing NOT that, he was also caught NOT wearing the US flag pin on his lapel".
