I appreciate your honesty. However, everything that you chose to respond to was meaningless phrase, ignoring message. You don't have to do that either.
Here is my message:
Trump's rhetoric during the campaign (and not only) has been very divisive, prejudiced, xenophobic, especially against Muslim and Mexican immigrants. The election victory of DJT has enabled xenophobia. In such an environment, it is conceivable that hate crimes (or at least perception of such) against targeted minorities would be on the rise. Considering Trump's rhetoric and some people's interpretation of his intentions, I see the potential rise in hate crimes as a valid concern and I welcome any initiative to track it and report it (facts). Then it is up to you to agree or disagree with it. That's how we gain a better sense of reality.
I don't want to have to disagree with Trump for the next 4 years. I want him to stop making baseless claims. He has no better understanding of these issues than NYT reporting on hate crimes. You may questions their intentions, but evil as you think they are, NYT and the news media are doing all of us a service.
