What did you think of the POTUS address?

Hoping to see credit where credit is due from the MSM.

Some good stuff re the ACA- however, I heard the recipe for a death spiral if pre-existing conditions must be covered, but no individual mandate.

This cannot work. What's the point in taking out a policy until you're sick, if coverage is guaranteed at that point? It's as if you can wait until your house burns down before taking a house insurance policy on which the insurer has to pay out. The death spiral happens when Insurers try to raise premiums to cover the high % of unprofitable policies and when that reduces the number of profitable policyholders further, the insurers have to go broke or withdraw.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
