Maybe some envy about a live performance delivered in the upper quadrant ? The touches of DT previous TV expirience were clearly there (just look at the blonde next to Owen widow), but it was sotto voce enough as to fall into typical political perfomance.

Did not bother with Ho(l)lywood reactions, just reading NYT and WaPo coverage made cetrain to give DT credibility for arguing partisan coverage for at least another quarter. Canceling the press dinner under these circumstances looks like typical "maverick" move, but the reason he cites is clearly evident to me.

Since inauguration the whole DT script feels like typical new ROI-conscious CEO, but in (really fast) fast foward. If all those dragons living under previous admin rocks (it has to be a heros task, slimy grubs are expected to be taken care of by others) are slain that fast, how to dazzle in 3.5 years ?

the for me most telling pointer to areas he is not proud of is the detailed description of things reached with CA prime minister ;-)
The areas not gone into detail do not count for me, as this was a speech and finding data there would probably be cited as a DT mistake while flunking "speech purpose" as well.
