I found how to enter the home office expense in the H&R Block software. And in the end it gave me $0 deduction. The home office expense is subject to 2%. Only the amount greater than 2% of the AGI can be added to Schedule A.
As far as self-employed people, they can do it through Schedule C. I don't do Schedule C; I have a Sub-S corporation and get K-1 form.
So I forget about deducting home office expense. Unless, my CPA says that I can reimburse myself for the use of home office from the company ledger. But knowing how conservative is my CPA, it is a small chance. So I will remain poor :).
