My (subjective) impressions of Oracle forms:
- still a very young product (not very feature rich and mature like VFP or VB)
- non standard controls (grids and combo boxes don't act or look like most other implementations in other gui tools)
- forms are not compiled into a single EXE or APP but remain a stand-alone files. I find this a bit messy.
- simple forms are relatively simple to slap together, but if you want do something complex you get a feeling that you are fighting the product
- to run a Oracle application, a workstation required a 40+ meg install of oracle client, runtime and help files
