another option would be to create a new form (looking like a simple container, = no header, no border, desktop=.T., InTopLevelForm a.s.o), create it and place it above the active x.
Within the form.lostfocus you might place some code to make it invisible again.
For demonstration purposes I took my browser form, placed a button in the lower right corner that calls the form and places it above the olebrowser control. So have a look at the attached hardcopy.

Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first place.
Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you are,
