Yes.
Wagner, Puccini, et al were geniuses. The Beatles were nice kids who sang pretty songs and made people feel good.
Nothing wrong with making people feel good, but they weren't geniuses.
My mother loved Bing Crosby.
My grandsons can't spell his name but they listen to my Wagner CD's.
