>On a recent discussion with a security advisor, we went into a comparism between CISCO ASA firewall versus the Microsoft Azure firewall concept. It is assumed it is a brand new paradigm. For those who are used to work with the CISCO ASA technology, how would you compare it with the Microsoft Azure concept? Basically, have you been able to do everything you were used to with CISCO ASA? Have you discovered something additional in Microsoft Azure firewall related needs that you would like to talk about?

Are you talking about virtualized security appliances for use on Azure? Cisco seems to be offering its ASA as a virtual appliance: http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/products/collateral/security/adaptive-security-virtual-appliance-asav/at-a-glance-c45-733426.pdf

I couldn't find any similar appliance created by Microsoft - do you have a link?
