I installed Outlook in Office/XP in order to migrate from Outlook Express.

It is working pretty well except for one major problem: when viewing an incoming email, I can't open any attachments at all, even JPEG or PDF files. I can't view them or even copy them to disk.

The Help file states that some file types are blocked unconditionally and can't be unblocked, but it doesn't state that a PDF or a JPEG is a blocked type.

Is there any way to view attachment types that are not specified as blocked types? Or is this a problem with this version of Outlook? If necessary, I could obtain and install a newer version of Office.
