I've just got the idea that the russian plot is actually the plan B of the Clinton camp. First a distraction from other, more serious issues (like the Goldman speech fees), and then, expecting that an authentic leak may happen anytime, with too many disgruntled people holding the bean bag, ready to spill, leaking it themselves. Then blame it on Russians during the campaign. When that didn't work, well, why stop there? Go on and bang on it, raise enough noise so to avert the eyes from their own incompetence, and specially from any thought that there may be any alternative. The less the little people remember Bernie, the better. For the apparatus, Trump is a gift, and Bernie would be a burden.
