By just randomly scrolling down the list, I've found out that Microsoft probably knows better than I what hardware I ever had. Search for "Census." just to get some idea of what it collects.

I'm sure the google isn't any better. I'm definitely not getting anything Android or WP. The phone I have runs Symbian, is six years old (a battered but fully functional Nokia E5), and I'm not getting a new one until I find one running Ubuntu Touch.
