When I talk about this sort of thing to myself (don't ask) or to my fellow
developers, I like to call this sort of thing an "object of class lstBase1"
or a "lstBase1 object", just like a "ComboBox object".
It *is*, after all, an object, even though, as you pointed out, it hasn't
been instantiated yet.
