Well, she did erase tens of thousands of emails from the disallowed email server and then bitbleach to ensure they couldn't be recovered. Why was that again? Maybe she was afraid Susan Rice might unmask the emails and some of the embarrassing ones then would leak.

As for the birther issue: never understood why Trump focused on this. Interestingly, when he began claiming that Hillary Clinton started the issue, this was strenuously fact checked and denied by the same media that fails to show any such rigor re their fact-free Moscowgate favorite. If you have time, check out Clinton insider Penn's strategy to remind voters of Obama's upbringing outside the US and lack of American-ness and look for reporter Jim Asher's claim that Clinton's Sidney Blumenthal told him that Obama was born in Kenya and that he should investigate. The MSM declared there was no definite evidence for Asher's claims and largely ignored it, along with written correspondence from Blumenthal looking for other evidence from Kenya to smear Obama.
