>>And on it goes.
>>They hammered and hammered. Nothing concrete ever came of it, but it was one of the key factors that cost her the election and gave us DT.

Certainly Podesta boasting about fake Catholic organizations to undermine US church leadership and try to provoke a revolt, dismayed an awful lot of Catholics. I'm not convinced that only Catholics find such machinations abhorrent, so if it did result in more votes for Trump- then perhaps Podesta might consider not doing stuff like that, rather than blaming voters.

And have you forgotten questions for the purportedly non-partisan candidate debates leaked to Hillary's crowd in advance? More cheating that undermined democracy for voters who wanted to rate candidate performance. Joe and Josephine Citizen don't like that sort of cheating.

>>... and he's convinced that Obama is the Muslim anti-Christ who was born in Africa and came here to destroy all that is good about this country.

Just as a lot of people insist that Trump is literally Hitler. Some mothers do 'ave 'em (blast from the past, early 1970s) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWPBj4xiNRk

>>No one in the press here has had the courage to chronicle the depth of the resentful reaction to Obama's election.
>>Trump's election - thanks to an even more despicable opponent- might be a godsend if it shines the light on the hatred that was behind his support- and what it can lead to.

According to the pundits, a lot of the people who voted for Trump this time, voted for Obama last time. The "discovery" of their hatred dates to their decision not to vote Democrat again as the experts told them they would. Unless the Democrats can stop blaming the voters and look at their own performance including the dirty tricks they kept being caught at, they're limiting their reach to the same old echo chamber.

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
