Actually, all elements of the array. But that's beside the point. The "m" refers to "memory", not to "variables". Even UDFs can be referenced in this manner.
? MESSAGEBOX(YEAR(DATE()))
? MESSAGEBOX(m.YEAR(DATE()))

FUNCTION Year (Date AS Date)
	RETURN "No matter what, it is always 1984..."
