>>>March 31st, 2017 - that was my proverbial "come to Jesus" moment. (Figuratively, not literally). My blood pressure spiked at 166 over 120. It had been high for quite some time, and then it got worse Yes, you read those numbers correctly

>>>April 17, 2017 - just over two weeks later, it's 128 over 82.

>>Wow !! Nice it's back down but 166/120 is pretty darn high. I read the other posts - looks like you know what to do - saying goodbye to salt and the coca--cola is wise move.

Good luck to you, Kevin! And good health!
I know you were joking about the news, but apparently there's some truth to it. Here is an article from 2013
https://www.theguardian.com/media/2013/apr/12/news-is-bad-rolf-dobelliand especially this paragraph: News is toxic to your body. It constantly triggers the limbic system...

I was never a big fan of fast food, but several years ago I felt I was exaggerating with the stakes, cheese and wine, so I decided it's time to give more consideration to my health. Started exercising daily and have been more careful with my diet, which of course made a big difference. One thing in particular, that I now find enjoyable, is to have a tall glass of water with lemon first thing in the morning. At this point, I'm so addicted to it that I can't imagine starting my day without it, though there's one more thing that I'd have to fix, because I drink it while watching the news :)
