The main reason I gave up on DVDs is exactly that - the mandatory must-wait-out blabla about "ah! you're watching a DVD! you are suspect unless you have regular paperwork that you paid for the pleasure! FBI has warned you and forces you to watch this warning for 40 seconds more!". It's so annoying and insulting that I don't remember when I bought the last one. I'd rather watch a 4th hand crummy copy dubbed in russian (which I did once, with "Avatar", and it was much more fun - at least all the military-like speech sounds just as absurd as it should).
