Ah, then it must be you're quitting your browser or shutting down your box? Tsk tsk... I do that regularly too, several times a year.
But wait, I updated the system yesterday, even rebooted (yes, months pass quickly, reboot time again), so everything got reloaded, and the "forward" block is expanded and the "attachments" block is collapsed, just like I left them. So I think it's something about the cookies that we have set differently for this site.
