>Creating an index on true/false is almost always ***only*** useful to filter out set of records described by the index expression.
>Think of "Binary" as a hint to tell vfp how to optimize: in this case, by only creating/using a Rushmore-bitmap instead of the usual recno/value couple for each record. This leads to MUCH smaller index sizes, which make usage of an index even for binary questions often efficient, whereas normal indexes created for binary distributions more often than not slow down the application if every transaction is measured.
Ok thanks for the confirmation.
