I think I've checked execution plans 3 times over the past two decades

I use these measures:

Does it work?
Is the customer happy?
Will someone have a reasonable chance of understanding it a couple of years from now (especially me)?
Did the check clear the bank?


Can't anwer the last one yet, but so far so good.
