Most liveable cities in the world:
Vienna comes top again this year, though maybe for the last time because of violent migrant gangs making some areas in central Vienna too dangerous for natives or tourists. So Zurich (currently 2nd) may move up to first next year. There's 5 German cities in the top 20 plus Stockholm that are said to have similar issues, so there may be a bigger shake-up next year.
The historic Swiss town of Basel ties with Sydney for 10th. I like both, though Basel has great charm with affordable housing a few train stops across the border in France if you don't like the steep Basel prices. Sydney is more expensive still.
The two predictable Canadian cities are in the top 20. London is 40th and the highest US city is San Francisco at 29th.

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
