Without doing some work - ie. using the Windows Desktop Bridge to get your application moved into a containerized package - FoxPro applications won't run on Windows 10 S. Only store based applications are allowed either from the public store or potentially a corporate store specific to an organization.

Either way - no raw x86 applications are allowed.

I have a feeling this isn't going anywhere fast as this is just another attempt at Windows RT which was a complete failure since there simply weren't any apps worth running in the store. Not much has cchanged on that front although Microsoft is making more of a push for it this time around.

The big problem I have with this is this:

* If you're going to build an app that has to live within the confines of an AppStore app that uses the SandBoxed environment, in 99% of the time I can build a Web app that does this.
* The cases when I really need a desktop app chances are that the reason I'm building a desktop app is because I want DESKTOP features that are most not available to apps

We'll see, but I can't see this going anywhere outside of specialized markets like education...
