I have a mobile version of an application which responds to iPhone IOS Safari. This is the same code as the Web site, as far as setting up a cookie. From Windows desktop, when the cookie is set, it remains in memory for as long as there is one instance of IE opened. However, from iPhone, after a while, or when connecting into a WiFi network, this seems to reset the memory and the cookie vanishes. I am trying to explain this phenomenon. We all know specific WiFi networks redirect the IOS browser into one of their own home page, such as the home page of the WiFi network, or a page to enter a room number and a last name client to authenticate yourself on their network. When doing so, it appears a full reset is also sent and this conflicts. Any explanation on what is causing that and workarounds to avoid that would be welcome.
