That's actually one that caused some issues when I first tried that. After a few years, maybe technology has improved and some of those devices are better. HDMI, as is, is not designed to be splitted. That would be the main issue. All kinds of behaviors would apply such as latency and interruptions, which forces a disconnection of the cable to reset the image. The laptop has only one output. So, I cannot plug two HDMI cables from their. I also need to preserve HDMI all the way. So, I wouldn't want one HDMI output and one VGA. I also have read about sending the signal over Ethernet but I wouldn't really want to use that route. If you have one in particular that you have used or heard that is working perfectly, I would be interested to know about the model.
