... and there are some things that need to suck to be good -- like a vacuum cleaner. It sucks when you blow it by forgetting to check how the shop-vac is configured when you try to use it..

On a side note, I do recall a common gag in the 1980s of posting a particular advert for a vacuum cleaner on the walls at the computer labs at the university campus (The computer lab had the terminals for accessing the DEC VAX computer, and the advert was for the VAX brand of vacuum cleaner with the tagline "This is VAX, it really sucks"). I also remember seeing the usual "blinkenlights" sign as well.
